You can request the deletion of your account and associated information by emailing [email protected] from the email address associated with your account.

- We do not use invasive tracking techniques such as browser fingerprinting or cross-site tracking. We use Google Analytics to analyze traffic in an anonymized and aggregated manner.
- We do not monitor when you request your rent history documents from HCR.
- We do programmatically process the rent history data you provide to deliver the requested analysis.
- When you submit rent history data, the Company and its affiliates do get granted an unrestricted, irrevocable, and perpetual right to use, share, distribute, and publicly disclose this data at the Company’s discretion. By using this website, and submitting rent history data—in any format—you agree to grant the Company unrestricted, irrevocable, and perpetual right to use, share, distribute, and publicly disclose this data at the Company’s discretion. By providing this data, the user waives any claims to its confidentiality and agrees that RentHistory.org may use the information in any manner that aligns with its mission to promote transparency, accountability, and tenant rights.
- By uploading or submitting rent history documents to RentHistory.org—whether in the form of plaintext, image files, PDF documents, or any other format—the user acknowledges and agrees that these documents are not subject to deletion requests and will be retained indefinitely.
- Device Information: To protect against bots and malicious attacks, we use Cloudflare. This service temporarily collects IP addresses and device information for security purposes only, retained for a maximum of 7 days unless malicious activity is detected, in which case it may be retained longer for investigative purposes.
- Cookies:
- We use cookies to maintain your session while logged in. These cookies contain a randomly generated session ID and do not store sensitive personal information.
- Cookies are essential for user authentication and ensuring a secure experience on our platform.

Any rent history documents uploaded by the user are exempt from this section as per the section regarding retention of rent history documents in our Terms of Service.

If you do not have access to either, or if you lost access to your email address & chose not to provide us with a telephone number during your registration, then for security reasons we cannot help you.
